Yazz Studios is where Mukund makes music: a new Tamil song every month since January 2026, built where Tamil melody, raga, jazz harmony and Western classical writing meet.
The songs are made with a circle of collaborators — lyricist and multi-instrumentalist Ragavan Manian, lyricist Kumudha, keyboardist Krishnamurthy Kalvai, guitarist Mridul Gopal, and Balasubramani Bala at Soundtask Studios on rhythm, mix and master.
2026 so far: a Pongal duet, a Valentine's love song, a Women's Day journey through Tamil history, a Tamil New Year song about a woman finding herself, a song for Rajapalayam's green-energy future, a monsoon jazz ballad in Amritavarshini, a twenty-year-old Bay Area song remade across three cities, a three-raga piece on fire, a title song in honour of Crazy Mohan, and a song for delivery riders.
